Get to know the people at Desenio with Staff Art Selections, a unique look into how different people choose the art for their homes. Maya Lampert is our Regional Marketing Coordinator, originally from Canada, Maya has been in Stockholm for four years.

Sissan Richart is an artist based in Aarhus, Denmark. She has been a Featured Artist at Desenio since 2022 – her warm and sometimes humorous ink drawings are popular with our customers. She has participated in projects such as Art for A Cause, and we were delighted to sit down for a chat with Sissan to hear a little more about her creative process.

Kitchens can be tricky spaces to hang wall art, as there is typically much more going on than in other rooms in the house. You will have multiple textures and colours to consider – countertops, tabletops, storage and walls – as well as a range of surfaces and levels across the space. Plus, you will probably have a few appliances visible, and in some spaces, open shelving housing spices, food or crockery.

Oliver Ingrosso is a well-known musician and restaurateur in Stockholm. In December 2025 he opened his second restaurant in the city, inspired by his Italian heritage, Baroma. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with selected designs from Desenio. Here, he talks to us about the process of choosing the artworks and how they contribute to the restaurant’s atmosphere and personality.

In a new series, we will be visiting unique homes with the Art Advice team. On this visit we wanted to create a special feeling in a home, without losing the personality of the space and the people who live there.
