This collection is where an exuberant vintage look meets a cosy palette of oranges, reds and browns with a sporadic blast of light blue. The collection is made up of a daring balance of semi-abstract landscapes, figurative work with poise and attitude, together with playful photography and retro graphic design. Each piece is beautiful in its own right, but with a common colour palette and distinct 70s feel, gallery walls created entirely from the Spicy Revival collection will have a bold and enduring look.

Evolving Traditions encompasses a heritage inspired style that’s perfectly suited to contemporary lifestyles. Designed with irresistible reading nooks and stylish home offices in mind, this collection was created to update the country house aesthetic for today’s lifestyles by adding an offbeat and whimsical element. Spanning angular abstracts, graphic patterns and expressive landscapes, this collection features pieces that are beautiful alone, or can be combined to create cohesive ensembles. With green the dominating shade in many of the pieces in the collection, it is the contrast with light blue that gives it a more contemporary and playful twist.

There’s nothing we love more than bringing people together over art, and that is exactly what happened at our pop-up gallery for Art for a Cause in New York City in May 29-31. With a painting workshop, and the chance to see the artworks that make up the unique Art for a Cause collection, the event inspired guests to strike up friendships, get in touch with their own creative sides and admire beautiful art. With painting sessions led by therapists from The Art Therapy Project, participants harnessed some of that inspiration and discovered some of the meditative qualities of creating art for themselves.

Butter yellow is having a moment. What started on the runways late last year has taken over the red carpets, and the streets of the most fashionable cities and it is now making its mark on the walls of stylish homes everywhere. Pale yellow inspires happiness, perhaps because we associate it with the sun, warmth, and confidence. It is also said to inspire hope and creativity, and Desenio's new collection certainly creates a soothing atmosphere.

We are thrilled to announce Art for a Cause, a collection of new prints that will help to raise money for a mental health charity. As a company of art-lovers, we are well aware of the therapeutic potential of both making art and surrounding yourself with creativity. For Art for a Cause, a percentage from every purchase made goes towards supporting The Art Therapy Project, a NYC-based non-profit organisation. “Art has the power to heal, connect, and give voice to what words sometimes can’t express. That’s why this project means so much to us.” says Annica Walin, Executive Creative Director.

Last year, our photographers took a trip to get inspiration for our latest collection. They set off to the land of pastel de natas, sardines, and port to soak up the ambience of Portugal. Since the trip, we’ve been editing the photos, fine-tuning the illustrations and now it’s here, Desenio’s first destination collection: Stories from… Portugal.
